Vision XS two day 5 Model Advanced Workshop
5th and 6th July 2017
‘We’re Fully Booked’
Aim: to discuss how the 5 models can be used in your attraction
This will be a workshop aimed at those who have responsibility for producing strategic plans for visitor attractions. We have carefully crafted a fun programme utilising 5 workshop sessions and 2 walks, for head clearing and discussing the content of the sessions. Delegates must have completed the intermediate course.
Each of the sessions will focus on the in-depth aspects for each model and delegates will work through an exercise on their own by using their own attraction data. Each workshop will bring key aspects of how to approach strategic planning and bring brief writing alive.
The workshop will be based in Wallingford at The George Hotel, Oxfordshire over two days. On each day, we will build in a break, separated by an informal conference dinner on the first night. There is plenty of parking on-site at the hotel.
This workshop is only open to operators of attractions and we have limited space for only 15 attractions so please do book quickly to avoid disappointment. If you want to come to the event but cannot walk for 1.5 to 2 hours then we will arrange transport.

Walk 1 is where we will be walking along the river Thames, passing the meadows through Benson Weir where the Thames path crosses the river and there are good views of the Benson Lock. After lunch by the river, we will head back to Wallingford.
Walk 2 is a gentle 30-minute circular stroll around the historic and enchanting Castle Meadows in Wallingford Castle Gardens is now a relaxing and peaceful spot in which to enjoy the well-kept lawns and flower beds and explore some of the earthworks remaining from the castle. Wallingford Castle occupies a quarter of the largest Saxon fortified town in England and its ramparts include part of the Saxon town walls. William the Conqueror and his army crossed the Thames at Wallingford in 1066 and ordered the building of the castle.
