The Intermediate Workshop is run by Visitor Experience expert Tony Sefton from Vision XS and award-winning leisure architect Ray Hole. Delegates work through a challenging case study over the two-day course that will bring key aspects of each model and ultimately teach how to approach strategic planning using the ‘5 model approach’. The programme is designed around 5 workshop sessions and 3 walks, for creative thinking, networking and discussion of the content of each session. Each of the sessions will focus on one of the models and delegates will work through an exercise based on a case study in small groups (mixed attraction groups).
The Workshop will be based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire over two days. On each day, we will be going out to other locations for workshops, and a great oppurtunity to network while walking to the other venues, separated by an informal conference dinner on the first night. Our walks take in the lovely River Thames, River Thame and North Moore nature reserve.
This Workshop is open to operators of attractions including Theme Parks, Farm Parks, Museums, Heritage Sites, Gardens, Historic Houses, Escape Rooms and many more. If you want to come to the event and the walks seem daunting there will be other means of transport available

Vision XS are offering a follow-on advanced workshop in June 2020 for those of you who have already attended the intermediate session or those who want to attend both. The advanced course will focus on the in-depth aspects of each model and delegates will work through an exercise on their own by using their own attraction data. In other news: In 2018 & 2019 we took our popular 5 Models Business Workshop on the road! We helped tourism attractions in Calgary and Edmonton Canada scale their business plans with strategic planning sessions with some walks in the crisp air to keep the creativity flowing!

Walk 1 is where the journey begins and what better way to start it off with a beautiful Historic river walk from Wallingford sports park to the Shillingford bridge hotel. Passing the meadows through Benson Weir where the Thames path crosses the river and there are good views of the Benson Lock. From Benson, you will get a chance to see the elegant bridge in Shillingford, with a collection of boats moored by the Hotel across the river.
Walk 2 is a beautiful river walk into historic Dorchester on Thames passing where the river Thame meets the river Thames. Dorchester is best known for its beautiful Abbey, which dates from 1140. This Wonderful riverside environment, beautiful villages and a deep sense of history make this a walk of great appeal.
Walk 3 is the journey back to Wallingford crossing the pooh stick bridges up though the blue bells passing the ancient fort into Brightwell cum Sotwell.
