VisionXS advised Historic Scotland on two of their flagship properties in order to assess the impact of proposed new major projects.The focus of our work was to assess the existing visitor experience, the market potential and to produce an experience development road map for the next 3 years that will increase the psychological appeal for the local and international market.

Urquhart Castle
Urquhart Castle is one of Scotland’s most iconic castles on the banks of Loch Ness. Vision XS worked with Historic Scotland to develop a 3 years visitor experience development strategy, aimed at  improving the visitor experience and the attractiveness of Urquhart Castle as a major tourist destination in the Scottish Highlands.
The focus of our work was to assess the existing visitor experience, the market potential and to produce an experience development road map for the next 3 years that would increase the psychological appeal for the local and international market. An outline business plan was produced to show the bottom line effect of improving experience and attendance.

Stirling Castle
Stirling Castle is one of Scotland’s grandest castles due to its imposing position and impressive architecture. Major conservation work has been carried out at Stirling Castle over many years to preserve the attraction as a major national and international monument. Vision XS  helped the Castle to understand the impact  that visitor flow and journey of the new exhibit components have on  The Stirling Castle Palace Project.
