What is the ‘5 Model Intermediate Workshop’?
The Intermediate Workshop is run by visitor experience expert Tony Sefton from Vision XS and award-winning leisure architect Ray Hole. Delegates work through a challenging case study over the two-day course that will bring key aspects of each model and ultimately teach how to approach strategic planning use the ‘5 model approach’. We have carefully crafted a fun programme utilising 5 workshop sessions and 3 walks, for creative thinking, networking and discussion of the content of each session. Each of the sessions will focus on one of the models and delegates will work through an exercise based on a case study in small groups (mixed attraction groups).
The Workshop will be based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire over two days. On each day, we will be going out to other locations for workshops, walking and eating, separated by an informal conference dinner on the first night. Our walks take in the lovely River Thames, River Thame and North Moore nature reserve.
This Workshop is open to operators of attractions including Theme Parks, Farm Parks, Museums, Heritage Sites, Gardens, Historic Houses, Escape Rooms and many more. If you want to come to the event and the walks seem daunting there will be other means of transport available
For information & cost on the Workshop and the deals we are offering for attractions, please contact Diana Margarido at 01491528900 or email@example.com
In 2018 we took our popular 5 Models Business Workshop on the road! We helped tourism attractions in Calgary Canada scale their business plans with strategic planning sessions with some walks in the crisp air to keep the creativity flowing! In 2019 we are are taking the 5 Model Workshop to Edmonton, Canada.
‘The workshop was really useful and there appeared to be a good blend of people around the room collaborating on thought provoking areas. I felt it was very well organised overall, and there was a good blend between Tony’s session delivery outlining the models, Ray’s more individual support during tasks and mixing with others. A very enjoyable and definitely worthwhile couple of days.’ Mark Rowley, Lee Valley
‘An enjoyable, stimulating and interesting few days. I now feel even more excited about my job and the challenges and opportunities we have ahead. Great workshop, loved the walks, and I’m looking forward to the advanced session’ Sally Cordwell, SS Great Britain
‘Really excellently managed and the variety of forums and venues was really stimulating and enjoyable. I am looking forward to the next one in a couple of months’ Nick Martin, RSPB
